"TRANSFORMING AMERICA'S FUTURE"
By Synthia Esther
We, the people of the United States of America need pro-active, aggressive change in Washington, as we move forward in transforming and securing America's future. The successful, underlying foundation for our future will depend on remaining invested in improving our infrastructure, while expanding domestic production of oil and gas. Other priorities include: International commerence, competitive worldwide economic prosperity, Green Earth initiatives, progressive educational reform, job productivity, scientific and medical advancement, health care and social security reform, homeland security improvements, worldwide military strength and the blockage of nuclear weapons to countries such as Iran and North Korea.
As we embark on a new "era" in American history we face a new "commitment" towards securing a competitive world economy, while eliminating wasteful spending. Elected government officials will need to introduce and approve policies that will significantly increase the value of the American dollar. Marc Bloch's philiosophy states, "History is, in its essentials, the science of change. It knows and it teaches that it is impossible to find two events that are ever exactly a like, because the conditions from which they spring are never identical."
Post 911, the history and resilience of the American people serve to remind the world that we are strong, we are resourceful, and determined to protect our freedom and defend our country. We have experienced the science of change in the face of sudden attack. As the future transformation of American passage continues to unfold in the 21st century, we are keenly aware of the danger terrorism imposes to our safety and security. While we Americans remain optimistic our foreign policy remains guarded, as so should our leaders.
"Democracy is the only system that persists in asking the powers that be whether they are the powers that ought to be." - Syndey J. Harris
